Rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea) is a plant that grows in cold parts of Europe and Asia. The root has a long history of use in traditional medicine.

Rhodiola is considered an adaptogen.  Adaptogens are a class of natural substances that are believed to stimulate the body's resistance to physical, environmental, and emotional stressors. Rhodiola extract might help protect cells from damage and regulate heartbeat.

People use Rhodiola for fatigue, anxiety, depression, stress, and many other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support any of these uses.

The harvest season of Rhodiola is in Jul.-Sept.  Rhodiola of about three years old are the best. With Rhodiola roots got in, they are first of all scraped off the superficial skin.  After that, the roots are cut into flakes of 2-4 mm thick.  Then they are placed on bamboo basket or bamboo mattress in the sunshine until roots are well dried.  If the roots are harvested in raining days, however,  they should be dried in an oven or drying machine with the temperature of 40 to 60℃ for about 12 hours.

During the processing, strong magnets and metal detectors are applied to avoid pollution of iron and other metals.  Finally workers have the Dried Rhodiola packed in PP bags of 20kg net each. 

The annual sale of Dried Rhodiola of our company is about 50 tons.
