Chrysanthemum has been long since used in traditional Chinese herbal medicine.  It is to treat respiratory problems, high blood pressure, and hyperthyroidism.  It can also be used   to make tea and drinks.

The source of our Dried Chrysanthemum is from audited supplier from Zhejiang Province, one of the main growing areas of Chrysanthemum in China. 
We buy Dried Chrysanthemum from our audited suppliers who grow Chrysanthemum plants in remote mountainous areas far away from industries with low heavy metals, managing the application of pesticides as per our supervision so that there is no pollution of pesticide residues in the products.

The harvest time is in late Sept. to Dec.   There are three drying methods for Chrysanthemum as follows:
1.  Natural drying in the sunshine:   The flowers are placed thinly in a bamboo winnowing in      basket in the sunshine till they are well dry.   With this drying method, it takes about a week for the flowers to be well dried.
2.  Drying in the shade:  The flowers are thinly placed in bamboo winnowing baskets in the shade.   With this drying method, it takes about two to three weeks for the flowers to be well dried.  
3.  Steaming and drying in the sunshine:  The flowers are first of all placed in bamboo baskets in a steaming facility till steam comes out.   Then place the flowers in the in bamboo baskets in the sunshine till the flowers are well dried.   In this method, it usually takes about 2-3 days for the flowers to be well dried.

Steaming drying is the best drying method, because in this method, the bacteria have been killed.   Therefore the flowers thus dried can be stored safely for a longer period.
