Hibiscus is a bushy annual plant. Parts of the flower are used to make drink. Various parts of the plant are also used to make jams, spices, soups, and sauces. The flowers are used to make medicine.

We buy Dried Hibiscus from our audited suppliers who grow Hibiscus plants in remote mountainous areas far away from industries with low heavy metals, managing the application of pesticides as per our supervision so that there is no pollution of pesticide residues in the products.

The harvest season of Hibiscus is from September to November, when the plant leaves become yellow; the seeds, black. Having been exposed to frost, the berries will show brownish red color, which is regarded as the best quality.

The processing of Hibiscus rather complicated: After the flowers have been got in, before trying, first of all, cleanse them with clean water.   Then pick down the calyces and remove the receptacles and seeds.  After that, place them in the sunshine.  When the calyces have been about 70% dried, collect them and put them in a steamer for water separated steaming, until the water boils.   When the water begins boiling, use little fire to steam for about five minutes.   After thus steaming, place the calyces in sunshine again till they are well dried.
